ACID & CAUSTIC ETCHING RINSE WASTEWATER

Aircraft Component Manufacturer
Acid Etching and Caustic Etching Rinse Wastewater

B-Clear™ was used to treat acid etching rinse and caustic rinse wastewater from an aircraft component casting manufacturer. The wastewater contained high levels of nickel, chromium, cobalt and zinc. It was treated with 0.02 pounds per gallon of B-Clear™, and the treated water was clean enough to meet the stringent discharge requirements of the local POTW.

The following test results are from the manufacturer. The pH is being adjusted with either sulfuric acid or sodium hydroxide before treatment with B-Clear™.
